The Consequences Of Irene Have Begun
I guess I jumped the gun regarding the consequences of Irene. Although I am one of the lucky ones whose building still has electricity, the water supply in the area was contaminated and they turned it off. I have no water at all! They have no idea as to how long the water will be out but it could be a while. Also, even though my power is currently on, they say there is a strong possibility that they will have to turn it off in order to fix or facilitate the other electric line repairs. Oh shit! My brothers place is under water with no power and my sister has no power. I guess I should feel lucky (as of now) that my only inconvenience is no shower, not toilet, no water! From what I hear, the consequences of this storm will continue for quite some time!
