A homeless man who police say was stabbed after he came to the aid of a woman who was getting mugged, lay bleeding to death on the street here in NYC. A video camera later showed that over 25 people walked by or stepped over him and did nothing.
As a lifelong resident of NYC, we always see the homeless hunkered down in doorways or steps or under blankets or cardboard. But this poor sole was lying in the middle of the sidewalk in a pool of his own blood. What the fuck! New York City is an amazing place and the people here for the most part are helpful and friendly. I understand that most people don't want to get involved but this is unacceptable, this is wrong, this is sad!
Here is a video showing this horrible scene courtesy of Fox News. The incident happened this Sunday.
The day-to-day trials and tribulations of a bi, but most likely gay man living in New York City, dealing with acceptance, relationships, coming-out and life in both the straight and gay worlds. It can be an exhausting existence with lots of challenges, frustration and even isolation. Some days I'm happy, some days I'm sad.
