If You Haven't Yet Seen This...Lady Gaga's Solo Piano Performance Of "The Edge Of Glory" On Howard Stern's Radio Show.

Here's what I'm thinking. Many people obviously like Lady Gaga (Gaga). They worship her and love her intensely. But then there are others who aren't really into her persona, her message and her music. Many straights for example think, "Gaga appeals to the fags and I'm not a fag so I won't ever listen or acknowledge that I think she is good; let alone, like her!" Anyway, for me, Lady Gaga is a talent. Her look and her songs are cool but I never really considered her as being, "the best" or even a top performer that I related to and liked. Don't get me wrong... her message to kids about being okay to be who you are, gay or straight, different or mainstream is a wonderful thing. That in itself has made her a hero of sorts to me. Here is where I am going with this. I listen to Howard Stern religiously and recently heard her LIVE performance of, "The Edge Of Glory" by Gaga who made a rare, first-time appearance on the radio show. In short - it blew me the fuck away. She is amazing!!!  This performance will give you goosebumps! This performance was live people! Wow, what a voice, what lyrics and what an ability to sound so amazing doing a live morning broadcast while sitting down in a radio studio. That's all I wanted to say. For those of you who have never heard this performance of hers, she did it back on July 18th 2011. Sit back and get ready to be blow away. For those of you who have heard it... well sit back and enjoy it again; over and over and over and over! Gay, straight, old or young - it will effect you! Gaga... I am a fan for life!!

Wow, has Blogger changed the format? I don't like it - do you? This looks weird now; at least all the behind the scenes stuff seems weird, and different.

It seems like the week has flown by. My last post was on July 2nd. July 4th was kind of fun. Spent the day with Ekrem, partly in Central Park, eating, then having fun back in his apartment and then downtown on the west side to see the NYC fireworks. It was a decent day.

Spent yesterday down in PA for work and took another buddy (Aiden) with me for the long trip. He was good to have around and made the day a whole lot better then I thought it was going to be. Last night, I went back to my "sleaze bar" and like always met another decent guy. His name is Gavin. He is Spanish, American Indian and Mexican. Seems like a really decent guy. We spent about an hour or more talking and then he walked me to the subway. Already he called me last night to say it was nice meeting me and has texted me twice about my plans for tonight. I had only tentative plans with Tim so I most likely will meet Gavin after work in Union Square and see where the night takes us. It never fails - I always meet someone new at the "sleaze bar", although not the usually fare I go for. Gavin, like Tim, Marco #1 and #2 and Doug and a few others seems nice enough and having another new friend to keep me busy is what it's about for me these days. I haven't spoken to Ekrem in a few days but that's how he is. my last contact with him was accepting his Facebook request early in the week.

Reflecting On My Life Today With Music By Joni Mitchell

It's Sunday, and I have been relaxing and listening to music from a new playlist that I randomly and recently put together my iPod.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about things. My life ...my relationships ...what I have accomplished ...and of course, my shortcomings and failures. But most of all, I was thinking and reflecting about Jess. Thinking about Jess makes me smile and laugh as well as feel sadness and regrets. Sometimes I even cry.

This song started playing my iPod just as I was thinking about Jess, and telling him that I was done, and since he wrote me last night, thinking what the heck should I do!

It's quite a beautiful song. Joni Mitchell is a legend and sings it like no one else! Read the words. You will know exactly what I mean when I say... totally relate-able, makes you really think about your life, and a timeless classic!
